Rare Racing Ferraris Star in Switzerland Sale

London-based auction house Bonhams is staging a sale of magnificent classic and vintage Ferraris at the famed Palace Hotel in Gstaad, Switzerland, starring some extremely rare competition models. Two prized lots are from the estate of the late Antoine Midy, a renowned French auto collector. The star of the sale is a 1955 121 LM Spyder (above) raced by the late Phil Hill in both the 1955 Le Mans 24 Hours and the Venezuela Grand Prix. The Spyder is estimated at $4 - $5.5 million. Also from Midy's collection comes a 1951 Ferrari 212 Export Spyder, estimated at $2.4 million - $3.2 million. There's also a 1958 250GT 'Tour de France' Aluminium Competition Berlinetta, est. at $3.5 million - $4.3 million, a 2004 Enzo ($1.1 million - $1.4 million), and more.
